Red Bluff Ranch

Terrain

The ranch has 2.3 miles of river frontage. The Southern half the ranch consist of mesquite flats, rolling sand hills and hackberry and Chinaberry stands. Along the river, we have salt cedar thickets, mesquite and isolated wild plumb thickets.

The Northern half of the ranch consists of rough cedar breaks, with steep canyons and draws. This combination of cover and terrain allows for a very challenging hunt.

Game

Whitetail Deer - Whitetail are quite abundant on the ranch. Through very limited harvest, we have managed the trophy quality of the game taken in order to maximize the trophy potential.

Exotics - In addition to the native game, the ranch has Mouflon Sheep, Axis Deer, Aoudad sheep and Red Stag.

Hunting Style

The style of hunting will be suited to the client, however, this is one of the few ranches where a spot and stalk hunt for exotic animals is possible. We are set up to accommodate just about any hunting style including stand hunting over food plots or feeders or spot and stalk hunting.

Our Whitetail hunting is done primarily by hunting over food plots, or feeders. Spot and stalk hunting is an option that will present itself on occasion.

Our Mule Deer and Aoudad are hunted primarily by glassing from the canyon ridges, however we will take advantage of food plots if practical.

Exotics are hunted in similar style to the Mule Deer and Whitetail. Glassing, spot and stalk is the preferred method, but we will utilize food plots and feeders when necessary.

In any case we will hunt the way the client wants to hunt, if it is reasonable to do so. Your desires should be made known during the booking in order for us to prepare and accommodate a particular style of hunting.
