Bookings

Reservations can be held with a $500 non-refundable deposit. Trophy fees, or full hunt cost in the case of Whitetail hunts, are due at the conclusion of the hunt and can be paid by cash, check, cashiers check or credit card. Trophy fees are due on any animal shot or wounded, whether recovered or not. All attempts will be made to locate any wounded animal.

Licensing

Licensing requirements are different for Texas residents non-Texas residents. For current prices and required licenses, check with Texas Parks & Wildlife.

Texas Residents - A valid Texas hunting license will be needed for all the species hunted at Red Bluff Ranch. A State Turkey tag will be needed if you plan on hunting Turkey. If you are hunting Whitetail, be sure you have a valid "One Buck County" tag for the West Zone. This is a one Buck County.

Non-Residents - A Texas hunting license will be needed to hunt all the species on Red Bluff Ranch.

  • Deer - Non-resident General Hunting (Type 105): $300 Valid for all species on Red Bluff Ranch, including Whitetail, Mule Deer, all exotic animals, Hogs and all game birds including Turkeys. If you will be hunting Turkey in the Fall, a State Turkey Stamp will be required.
  • Spring Turkey - Non-resident Spring Turkey (Type 118): $120 (Turkey stamp not required with this license)
  • Exotics - Non-resident 5-Day Special Hunting (Type 157): $45
    Hogs Non-resident 5-Day Special Hunting (Type 157): $45

    Hunter Education - Every hunter (including out-of-state hunters) born on or after Sept. 2, 1971, must successfully complete a Hunter Education Training Course.

    If you were born on or after Sept. 2, 1971, and you are:

    • Age 17 and over, you must successfully complete a hunter education course.
    • Age 12 through 16, you must successfully complete a hunter education course or be accompanied by a person 17 years of age or older licensed to hunt in Texas.
    • Under 12 years of age, you must be accompanied by a person 17 years of age or older licensed to hunt in Texas.
      Minimum age of certification is 12 years and cost of certification is $10.
      Proof of certification is required to be on your person while hunting.
      Note: Certification is not required to purchase a hunting license.

    License purchase by phone - is available Monday through Friday (9:00 AM – 8:00 PM) and Saturday (9:00 AM – 12:00 noon) for an administrative fee of $5, by calling (800) TX LIC 4 U (1-800-895-4248), menu 1, with approved VISA, Discover, or Master Card. Many licenses may be purchased by phone for immediate use (except where tagging is required, i.e. deer and turkey).
